NSW End UK Civil Partnership from Australia

myself and partner have separated. We had a Civil Partnership in UK in 2011. I need to get this dissolved, but everything I've read states I need to be in the UK to do this. Both myself and ex live in Australia.

Has anyone been able to do this and give me any advice?

Sorry, suspect you need to consult a UK site for information as it relates to UK law. I can't see anything in the Australian legislation or regulations relating to the ending of civil unions. Marriages of same sex couples yes, but nothing I can see about civil unions. Perhaps a call to the office of the Attorney-General of Australia may clarify your matter.
