Wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction.... we swapped one car for another car. Didn't do the revs check, did ask the question though and was told it wasn't encumbered, shook on it, did the swap. Fast forward a couple of years, wanted to sell it and found out it was encumbered.
Rang the finance company but they won't give me any info as I'm a 3rd party.
How do I find out what's owing? Are they still paying for the Vehicle?
I've read that you can sell an encumbered Vehicle so long as you disclose it is encumbered. The person we got the Vehicle off Didn't disclose it. Have tried contacting them, to no avail of course.
Where do I go from here? Is it a small claims thing?
How many text messages or attempted phone calls classify as harassment??
