Hello,

I had a previous will made during my marriage. I have called the law office where the original is being kept and all they could tell me is how much it costs to make it void, $275. I have been given the impression that by doing a new will on my own will void the old one, which would potentially kill two birds with one stone. Is this true?

Thank you

It will as long as the second one is done correctly.

Remember that if there is a dispute over you current/final will, the previous will can be used as evidence of your intent.
I would suggest destruction of the will and disassociate yourself with any link to the firm that created the previous will.
