Hello, I am looking for some help about the interpretation of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (QLD), specifically the disclosure period.

In May 2009, I was sentenced to an aggregate sentence of 3 years and 2 months, which was suspended after 12 months and backdated to the start of the custody period 12 months prior. The remaining period was a good behaviour bond.

Two questions, am I eligible for the conviction to be spent after the 'rehabilitation period' of 10 years? If so, when does the rehabilitation period start under Criminal Law - from the date of sentencing or the backdated date?

It's 10 years from the date of the conviction, not the sentencing date or the backdated sentencing date. The backdating will only be relevant to your sentencing, not the rehabilitation.
