Hello.
I have a question regarding criminal compensation.
Earlier in the year I assaulted my then girlfriend (of which I am sincerely ashamed about!) I was charged but fortunately was given a spent conviction as I had never in my life done anything like this before and did not have a criminal record.
I have had much therapy and am continuing as it can NEVER happen again.
My girlfriend put a VRO on me as would be expected. And has put in an application for criminal compensation.
But recently we have reconnected and as such are moving forward together very cautiously. I need for her to feel completely safe with me.
So to my 2 questions:
1. Is it illegal for us to be seeing each other while a VRO is still in place?
2. Will her seeing me again affect her criminal compensation claim?
Much appreciated in advance.
