My Permanent Residency visa has been expired for six months. After I was granted that visa, I got sentenced to 2 years 9 months suspended jail sentence. I spent 7 months in jail. Would I be able to get my Permanent Residency visa renewed?

Thanks

Ideally, it is illegal to stay in the country with an expired visa. So, you will have to apply for the visa, including your conviction details. This is the immigration law which must be followed by all. One of my friends uncle, was also facing such issue for which they took help of Immigration Lawyers in Australia and moved ahead with visa application.
