If the mother and father do a parenting plan together and make arrangements that are better suited for the kids, can it be made legal during the divorce? Or do things have to get real precise, e.g. living separately, days and times?

Can the parents just arrange things for when 1 is available, living together, seeing the kids when one can?

Hi Tania,

You can make whatever custody and parenting arrangements you like with your ex in a parenting plan, but unless they are formalised in consent orders they are not enforceable. So if your ex or you don't abide by them you can't do anything about it.
