I sign a statement today regarding my partner's breach of bail curfew. I now have thought about it, as I was put on the spot to sign at my doorstep, and I don't want my signature on the statement anymore.

How do I go about this?

I doubt that you can completely "retract" the statement that you have already made. You may be able to make a supplementary statement but I imagine what you have already said can be used against you.

Hi Sarah,

I agree with Sophea - it will be hard to retract.

I would suggest contacting legal aid or a lawyer and see if a statutory declaration or another type of statement could outweigh the document already signed.
