I paid the bond for a person I have had a falling out with. It was transferred from my account to the real estate‘s account. I have heard that this person is soon to vacate the property. Will I be entitled to receive the bond back?

Did you literally pay the bond, to the agent,
or did you just give your ex-friend the money?

I literally paid the agent - a transfer from my account to them.

OK. And is the bond in your name, or in the name of your ex-friend?

--> I ask because I'm trying to work out
whether or not you have simply paid an expense
on behalf of your ex-friend - in effect loaning them the money.
Or, something else (such as being an estranged co-tenant)

Before getting all legalistic,
it may be worth getting in touch with these guys.

Thanks for that link. I checked and thankfully the bond was lodged in my name (even though my name is not on the lease). I would assume then that the bond will come back to me?

I would expect so. When you say "you checked" - did you ask them what bank details they have for the lodger of the bond?
