Bought a second-hand car from a dealership weeks ago. Car was fine until the family were cruising up the highway and she went bang. $295 for a tow, then the first diagnosis was blown turbo. Got turbo replaced only to find the 4th piston has a hole in it, no compression. I am having arguments with the warranty company over engine components on warranty as well as the turbo.
My question is, the car dealership is getting the replacement for the engine, but the car has been off the road for 2 weeks now. I understand about the 3 month statutory warranty. The car has 230000 kms and is over 10 years old.
Please, could I get some suggestions under Australian Consumer Law?
