Hi all,
would really appreciate some advise!

A good mate (questionable now) has had to move back to New Zealand, he arranged his car to be dropped off at mine a month or so after he moved because it couldn't stay where it was

I tried to assist with the export but it never went ahead (I know he got quotes etc) - its now been 6 months and he has ignored my messages for the last 8 weeks (well he reads them but doesn't respond)
Over the last few month the boss lady has put some heat on me and its got to go

I have sent him a few messages suggesting he has 2 weeks and i'm pushing it to the curb, i also emailed him
He hasn't read them but i have seen him online - I tried to call him and no answer

what are my rights?

I did the PPSR search and emailed the secured party on the loan

The owing amount (from what i can gather - guessing) is maybe around 6k
Car is worth about 7 or 8k - but battery wont hold charge overnight, no rego and aircon buggered

I offered to take over payments but he wants 15k (which is what he paid for it 3 years ago - very high km's) although he did spend 5k on it (which wont help a sale)

Can i roll it to the curb and report an abandon vehicle?

I could keep it but don't need it... cant sell it ...
Can i charge him rent?

What are my best steps?

Thanks!
