Hi there,

I blew 0.52 and received a $572 DUI fine and a 3-month suspension but I want to know, will it go on my criminal record? It’s my first offence with no priors.

How hard is it to appeal for section 10? For jobs...

You got a section 10? no criminal record. More like a post it note on your file...

This is not gonna impact on very many jobs (if any). What sort of career are you talking?

How do you check your criminal record

Your best way is go to a police station and ask them or legal aid. Your DUI is not a major criminal act but it is important (I don't want to lesson it). Asking the police offer will provide the basic information. Obtaining a criminal record, is from the police station/passport office or postoffice, I can not remember. Just note there are different types or level so criminal record checks and that depends on what job you are applying, example for a bank will differ from a school and differs from applying to the AFP.
