QLD Access to Inheritance at Certain Age?

Wondering if anyone can help with a question.

My son was left an inheritance from his biological father. He turns 18 soon and would like access to the funds, but the will states he is to be 25. Does he have to wait till the age stated or is 18 classed as a legal adult?

I believe it's with the public trustee but the executor of the will advised she believes he has to wait till the age stated in the will

In the normal course of events
(absent any hardship or other compelling circumstances affecting the beneficiary),
she may well be right.
