Thank you. Haven’t been fined - yet. I had an accusation thrown at me. I could not find a definitive answer. Some sites saying yes others saying no.
So I was in the wrong.

Sorry. You are saying it’s a defect (could be classed as not roadworthy) but is it illegal to take them out and carry a passenger in the rear seat
