Hi Anthony,

UBER is definitely an interesting development that has evolved at an extraordinary pace!

I would suggest that as UBER was not an expected development, there isn't many regulations or rules that can be applied.

NSW has a taskforce which is investigating this issue. Here is an article: UberX: officials suspend 40 drivers' vehicle registrations

I have heard and opinion about UBER which made me worried.

By recruiting part-time drivers who use their own cars, uber bypasses many regulations which allow it to be price competitive. Many of these regulations have been put in place to protect workers. This includes workers compensation, superannuation, health and safety obligations, paid leave, sick leave, training etc. If uber example will spread, there will be a large class of people working for minimum wage or less with none of these benefits.
