Hello.

My dog has been bitten by a dog that was (along with 6 other dogs) under the supervision of a professional dog walker at the local dog park. All the dogs had been playing well together for a good half hour.

My dog was chasing his ball when another tried to grab it. My dog growled at the other dog. A very large dog in the group then grabbed mine by the scruff of the neck and managed to leave a gash of about 2 cm. The vet has to do stitches which requires anesthetic and the bill will be about $500.

Would the professional dog walker be required to have insurance to cover this type of incident in compensation?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.
