Hi, I have recently been given 2 jobs that I applied for on seek & then when I disclosed my criminal history to the employer they have immediately terminated my employment. One of them had sent me a contract & all associated forms including start dates etc. My charges are only for drugs & one is 9 years ago & the other was 20 years ago. I went to jail, did my time, paid my debt to society & was rehabilitated as far as the government is concerned & I had even done the medicals INCLUDING DRUG SCREENING !
Considering the time frames & that it was only drugs (I didn't murder or r**e or hurt anyone) and that I passed medicals I believe that it was wrong to terminate my employment.
Can I do anything about my situation ??
