NSW Suspended Drivers Licence - Chances of Leniency?

Hi,

I lost my drivers licence last week doing 30 over and I've been suspended for 3 months. I'm a green P plater. I'm going to court next week.

I've got 3 references and pleading guilty but I'm asking for leniency due to my circumstances.

I'm a 4th year apprentice mobile plant mechanic. I do a lot of away from home work and breakdowns/ call outs and a loss of drivers licence for me means no job. Also, it's my first and only run in with the police.

What are my chances of getting leniency with the length of suspension?

In Victoria, 25-34 over is mandatory one month license suspension (need is irrelevant).

This is late, but it may help others. You can apply for a good behavior period with the RMS.

Additionally it is also a possibility to take a drivers intervention course and request a section 10 dissmisal before the court. You will most likely get a good behaviour bond.
