I can’t get the same answer twice from anyone at Centrelink so I hope someone has experience pretty please with a cherry on top:
How much will receipt of both child maintenance ongoing payments AND spousal maintenance (lump sum -vs -ongoing payments) on:
1. New start exempt (for 2 years) or
2. Carers payment
The person does not get FTA due to child support payments but is unsure if they’ll be able to stay on Carers or move to Newstart exempt when child turns 16 and will remain in Home schooling due to disability for 2 more years.
