Hi, I got a speeding fine of doing 130km/h in a 110km/h zone. Officer said he got me at 128 but I got to 130k. Just agreed as I was caught so not an issue. Tho on the infringement I have been fined for offence -
Exceed speed limit in speed zone by more
than 20km/h but not more than 30km/h - (MV)
$444 and 4 demerit points.
Am I right in thinking 130k in 110k is not more then 20km/h? I checked the police services page and there is an offence -
At least 13km/h but not more than 20km/h over the speed limit- $226 and 3 demerit points.
Am I right or wrong to think the infringement should be the second offence. And if being correct do I need to elect a court hearing or could I somehow try to contact issuing officer.
