Hey, trying to help my friend/housemate get to see his 2 girls again (10 and 7), 18months ago there mother stopped him Seeing them due to drug addiction, now that he has gotten himself clean he wants to know the best way to get them back in his life, no court or authorities have been involved

First step is to organise a family dispute resolution conference with the other parent to see if they can agree on a parenting plan.

If that fails, then he can file an initiating application with the Court to see his kids.

He should be prepared to make some concessions, considering the history. It would be fair to agree to random drug testing and supervised time with the kids for a time.
