If I bought a freehold commercial property and advice given by the council and Vic Roads at the time said we could use the road side parking and road side parking is currently still permitted is their any legal precedence to claim them if they take that parking option away? The business permit is approved for sales and it’s a well established business area strip. When I asked Vic Roads if they could place some white lines there for safety reasons to alert drivers they then told me that if I use that area for parking they may take it all away. There are no parking restrictions signs there. There is little surrounding street parking so taking that parking away would
severely effect my trade naturally. We only have 2 onsite site parking spaces.
