I am looking at buying a property that Council is auctioning off due to unpaid rates, the property is not vacant possession, how do I get the owner out of the house and how long does it take before I could take possession?

Ahhh, well, yea, um, i would not go near this one. Do you even know who is in there? What if its an Aboriginal family? - they have powerful supporting agencies and politics on their side. But any squatter can make big trouble if they want to make trouble. I cannot say if this would work, but you could try offering them, say $5000.00 incentive to move out by a certain date? I would take that deal if i was them!

This could be a family down on their luck. I like Clancy's suggestion, and free removalists as well.
