my car was stolen and damaged due to having a new key that overrides my original key made by a popular locksmith company who had breached there codes by not having owners permission or any knowledge of their work. I also was told that they wanted me to pay for the service of when my car would not start due to this problem as well. My immobiliser was activated by the key that was made by the locksmith as it was not compatible with my computer so it was constantly causing me problems

I had a similar issue and was told to report it to police with as much evidence as possible—photos, dates, even witness info if you have any. Helps with insurance too.

Once, my car key got messed up after a locksmith didn’t match it properly, and my immobiliser kept acting up too. Ended up calling emergency locksmiths near you who actually knew their stuff and fixed the problem without charging extra for the hassle. It’s rough when locksmiths don’t get it right and then want you to pay more for their mistakes.
