I was Power of Attorney and enduring Guardian to my mother before her death. She had dementia and was in care for a number of years.
The Public Trustee are her Executors, not me. A sibling has demanded copies of my mother's financial records for the last 12 months. This request was denied while my mother was alive under privacy & that the sibling wasn't a financial dependant.
Does this still stand now?
What is the legal position of handing over financial records after the death & POA is no longer active?
Thanks
