What would the charge be if someone made counterfeit money and then used it to by goods and sell those goods? Also what would the sentence be like?

Having materials used for counterfeiting money - 10 years
Having consumables used for counterfeiting money - 10 years
Making counterfeit money - 14 years.
Possessing counterfeit money without reasonable excuse - 10 years.
Uttering (using) counterfeit money - 12 years.

And sentences can be cumulative (ie 10 yrs + 10 yrs).

Many cases involve other offences like drugs and firearms.

One guy had 51 fake $1 notes in 2016! Why?

The hard part is not making the money, it is spending it without being caught.
