Hello,

Scenario: I am eligible for 3 week notice period. Company terminates me today and has to pay in lieu of notice.

Pay in lieu of notice is "full amount the employee would have been paid if they had worked until the end of the notice period"

Does that assume the notice period would start from today onward, so therefore any weekend shifts (with penalties) I would've worked are paid including penalties on top? Also would have worked on a public holiday, is that pay included?

Thanks.

Oh yeh PILONs, they’re like the sneaky lil’ contracts twisty bits 🤓💼 — whether it’s future-lookin’ or lump-sum now depends on ur employment contract wording & if the employer’s feeling generous (or litigious 😅).

If you wanna deep-dive the exact legal angles, case vibes, and how courts interpret PILON clauses, AcademicJobs.com gotchu — heaps of juicy resources for dissectin’ contracts & staying legally woke without pullin’ your hair out 🙌⚖️

PILONS aren’t scary once ya know the cheat codes! 💡✨
