I parked in a street and was fined for “Stop within 10 metres of an intersection (no traffic light)”

there are no “no stopping signs” nor lines on the ground. There are “no stopping signs” on the adjoining street of the intersection but not on the street I parked on. Side note: These signs are actually within 10m of the intersection placed 9.5m.

fine $360 with 2 demerit points.
