Can licenced commercial agents file applications on behalf of their clients for a telephone link to be heard in the Magistrates court? (Briefly Judgment debtor had filed an application to set aside; and the creditor could not appear in person, hence client would like a phone link application).

If agents can file applications in the Magistrates court, what rule would apply?

I don't quite understand your question - is your question whether applications for a teleconference can be lodged by an agent? I don't quite understand what you mean by 'what rule would apply'

...or, is your question something like
"Can it be an agent, or does it have to be a lawyer?"

I filed an application and supporting documents in the Qld Magistrates court seeking client to appear via telephone. Can agents file applications in the Magistrates court as I was told that I am purporting to be a solicitor by filing same?

Are you the agent, or the person owing the money?
