As you might have seen as per title, signs that says left lane must turn left. I wanted to ask if there isn’t this signage on the road, can you stay going straight in the left lane even when there is a left turn arrow on the ground?

I have a weird set up outside my home where there is a right turn arrow on the ground on the second lane. Am I legally ok to go straight on that lane when someone is on the left waiting to turn left?

I’m not sure about NSW (but don’t see it as being greatly different), but ground markings are to read as traffic signs. For example, an unbroken white line across the road is a stop signal, dotted line is give way - whether or not there is a sign posted. I would expect the same for arrows.

If there is a left turn arrow painted on the road, it will also have an arrow pointing straight ahead if you are allowed to go straight, otherwise, no!
