QLD Lawyer Fees - Should I Be Worried?

I have just settled a workers compensation claim and I want to know how much are my lawyers are allowed to take from this for their lawyer fees. I was told they can not take more than half after the deduction, but my lawyers are actual getting more than me after deduction by about $25000.

My suggestion would be to request an itemised bill. If you still disagree with the amount of your lawyers fees you can always take it to taxation - but what they say goes - you would have to pay what is said.

Why do you think they can't take more than half. It's time billing; if they worked a 100 hours, then they bill for 100 hours.
