WA Working Compensation Claim - Paying Union Lawyers?

I have a workers compensation claim being handled by my Union legal team. I am not that happy with progress so far and I don't think they are listening to me. I am thinking of changing lawyers. I cannot afford to pay the Union for the work they have done until I am successful in my claim.

Is it correct to assume that if I am not successful with a new lawyer, that I don't have to pay the Union lawyer? With fees, does the insurance company have to pay part fees to both lawyers once a settlement is made?

Can you please give me some help?

Look at the agreement you signed. There is probably something tucked away in the small print that explains what happens.

Alternatively call them and explain your concerns. Keep in mind worker's compensation claims can take a long time to resolve so it may not be your lawyers, it may be the other party causing delays.
