I was just notified of judgement entered against me in a NSW court. Apparently the summons was delivered to a former address (my ex-wife). I did not receive it. Do I have a defence against this under Australian Law?

Bruce,

I strongly suggest that you obtain legal advice asap. When a judgement has been entered by the court it can be overturned but your lawyer will have to prove that the summons was never sent to an address that you reside at.

See https://lawanswers.wufoo.com/forms/get-connected-with-the-right-lawyer-for-you/
to be put onto a local lawyer in your area who specialises in family law.

Good luck.
