VIC Joint Tenants with Ex - Can My Name be Removed Without Consent?

Hi

I need some help. My ex-partner and I are joint tenants on a property which we are both responsible for.

She is threatening to change the locks on the property and remove my name from the title. Can this be done when we both are on title and can my name be removed without my consent?

Hi Craig,

It is my understanding that as you are joint tenants and both your names are on the title - she does need your consent to remove your name from the title.
