I am working in a consulting Company ABC as a permanent employee. Before joining them, I worked as a full time contractor in Company XYZ. After 1 year, Company XYZ got some contracting work and I introduced my ABC company to XYZ and joined in XYZ.

XYZ wants hire directly as ABC is charging more.

Could you please let me know any consequences under employment law if I join as contractor again with XYZ directly.

Thanks in advance.

Hi rsr,

You would first need to look to your employment contract with ABC to see whether there is any restraint of trade provisions which prevent you from working with other companies in a similar industry either while you work at ABC or for a period of time after you leave ABC.
