Hi, I hope someone can help. I have been in a stormy de facto relationship for 8 years in which I have been living in my partners property investment for the last 5 years, due to his insistence. We do not live together as it isn't suitable regarding his work. He pays all utilities on the home as well as some of my personal bills.

For the first 2 years, I paid a low rent as I was working. I am restricted by the relationship in many ways and I don't see a lot of my partner, maybe twice a month. I am tired of all the broken promises and no life. I have come to regard this as my home and wonder if I ended, it would I have to leave with nothing, no property settlement?

Thanks.

What state are you in?

How long have you been together?

How often does he reside with you, as distinct from living elsewhere
(such as with is wife)?

I am in Vic and been together 8 years. He only ever stays a night at a time, was more before his business got so busy.
And he is only married to his job!
Thanks
