VIC How to Repossess Car from Friend?

I wanted some help and I thought of you guys.

My husband convinced me when my car was for sale to sell it to a friend ( I use that term loosely), so I did. I haven't put the car in his name because my husband also convinced me to let him pay it off by paying every week. Now he's had the car since November and has barely paid anything and definitely not every week like we agreed. He has also just lost his job.

So now I need to repossess the car. How do I do that?

Did you have an agreement with him that the car was security for the loan? Did you have evidence of that agreement? And is the car registered in his name?
