I'm not sure what to do now as I've exhausted all my options from contacting the ACCC, ASIC and NSW Office of Fair Trading to complain about Milton Graham formerly Dun and Bradstreet who have being harassing me over the phone and by text regarding an Red Energy Debt of $48.14 AUD despite the fact I have never had an account with Red Energy to begin with and yet they kept on harassing me since mid 2017.

Please help thanks.

P.S.: I have used an alias name to protect my identity.

Regards,

Have you disputed the debt with them and they’ve verified it?

You can tell them that you dispute liability and state you intend to defend any legal proceedings they commence against you on the basis you are not the lawful debtor. For that amount odds are they’re not going to sue, and the ASIC/ACCC Debt Collection Guidelines state collection activity should stop (not binding though).

For that amount they’re not going to be able to make a credit file listing.
