I haven't been charged yet or received my summons, but I intend to plead guilty as I am aware there is sufficient evidence against me.

At what stage do I get to see the evidence against me? As I believe some of it may not be relevant.

This is for a major indictable offense.

I have already engaged the services of a lawyer. But the process was not explained to me.

You should ask your existing lawyer.
A comprehensive explanation of what's about to happen is part of what you're paying for.
This may well not include an estimate of any penalty.
