Hello,

I recently received two parking infringements (same day, same spot, same officer). One for not paying the parking fee at all (which I don't want to complain about) and a 2nd one for overstaying the time limit. My issue here is, the time difference between both tickets is 1:30 hrs. The parking time limit there is 2 hrs.

I can't remember when I exactly started to park there, but I think I didn't stay for 2 hrs. I also noticed chalk marks on the tires, so I assume that's the council's 'evidence' for the overstay. Is that enough ground that a request to cancel the ticket would be successful?

Happened in Burleigh Heads (Gold Coast) if that matters.

Many thanks!

Well if that is true, he must have taken 30 minutes to write the first ticket!
Its more a question for council's HR department than being useful for you getting off a ticket, but you can only try?
