I signed a contract of employment, completed and submitted all required payroll forms, received start date confirmation & confirmation of accommodation bookings -all in writing. Completed necessary induction courses and medicals (prerequisites) Submitted resignation from current employer.
Three business days out from start date (two days out from last day at current employer), received a phone call from company to advise that my employment will now not be proceeding. Contract signed was rostered casual basis work - 7 on 7 off (Day & Night Shift -mine site)
What are my options ? (apart from to the fact that I will have to ask if I can get my old job back)

You likely have a claim against the new employer.

But see if you can get your old job back first and post back here if you can't. The old job is a better option than starting a claim against the new employer.
