Hi,

I applied for a protection order against my partner. Last week when I went to the hearing, he said he wanted to remove my friend's name from the DVO. Magistrate asked him to lodge new application for that. My doubt is, can my friend's name be removed from DVO without my consent cause I am really worried about their safety.

If the court granted the DVO against your partner in favour of your friend, then the court has the power to remove that DVO. You do not have authority to make that decision simply because you applied for the order. Your friend however should be able to make her own submissions if she is worried about her own safety.
