Hi,

my ex-partner is currently on a bridging visa and is only in Australia due to children's court cases / DHS involvement. He also has criminal charges pending. Apparently he needs to prove that he is the father to get permanent residency and is planning to go for shared custody of children. I also have a family court ordered DNA testing.

My questions is, apart from proving he is the father via DNA testing, would he need to get other evidence apart from DNA testing to get permanent residency in Australia?

Depending on the charge(s), if he's convicted,
then he may well fail the character test,
and be deported anyway.
