Hey mates,
I am having a divorce soon and my wife could possibly take half to all my s**t (solo provider). Is it possible for me to avoid property settlement and spousal maintenance payments by having a sex change?

Since Australian family law doesn't recognise gay marriage, is my marriage void and null?

Regards,
the dim sum

No. Your marriage will not be rendered retrospectively null and void because it was lawful at the time it was constituted.

Haha, very inventive! Even if it were an option, I think your wife would have grounds for equitable remedy. :)

Thanks for replies. Yeah I decided against it after watching I am caitlin jenner. I decided to throw all my money in bitcoin instead - way safer!
