Hi, I run a small business and there may have been unauthorised access to some customer information. Is this a data breach? And do we have to do anything about it legally? Our IT person has said everything is secure now.

What is the nature of this suspected unauthorised access?
Have you been interfered with in a purely technical way?
Or are we talking about something more like a former employee stealing, say, a customer list?
