Hi, we were informed the morning after our wedding that some damage had occurred to the microphone during the night.

6 weeks later we were sent a quote for $1956 for a different brand microphone along with a whole heap of extras that weren’t even available to us on the night or to pay for the excess insurance which was $900

I have done some research myself and the microphone has been obsolete since 2012 and was valued at $299 for the microphone and receiver set.

Seems a little unfair that we have to replace a $300 set for a $1956 set..

When we hired the venue no contracts were signed and no terms of hire were ever shown to us just interested to see where I stand in all of this from a legal perspective as I am more than happy to pay $299 (the cost it would of cost to replace what was broken) but not to keen on upgrading there whole system for them at my cost
