I had court yesterday for a criminal law matter to be sentenced for a goods in custody charge which I pleaded guilty to, but the judge adjourned it for 2 weeks. Why would he do that?

Hi Hudson,

I assume you didn't ask for the matter to be adjourned? Which Court were you in?

Any number of reasons.

Use that time to get yourself references and into any programs that might assist on sentence. Engage with Community Corrections if that is required.
