VIC Criminal Law - Case Adjourned - Call to Change to an Earlier Date?

If someone has a criminal case pending and they adjourned the case until June, can that person call the court and change the date to an earlier date? Would they need to let the police know if the date changed?

You can change the date. You would need to make an application for an abridgement and have that served on the police prosecutions so they can have the brief at court.

You may have to go in to do it, ring the court and ask them what they require.
