the cost of submitting them to the courts is shared. Generally one of the parties solicitors writes them up and that party pays but it is all done via negotiation. So in my case I agreed to pay the ball park figure of $2000 for them to be written up, but the ex agreed to give me an additional $1000 when the the house sold. Nice easy. Not a fight worth having. Look for solutions, not arguments right now and you'll be able to move on better
