How long after a paternity test can someone claim. Child support like do they get it immediately or it takes weeks, moths etc

Depends on whether you go to court or are applying through CSA.

The court has more power to back date child support compared to CSA but takes longer to get. CSA can get money quicker but even then it can take months if the other party strings them along.
